August 5, 2021:
Martin Mpanga was discharged from the hospital earlier today after a long battle with Covid, the after-effects of which are still ongoing. Many brothers and sisters in East Africa and here in the United States prayed for and gave financially for our brother Martin. A Big Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible with your prayers and generous donations from your congregations. Thank you Especially the Family for providing the link and means to get the word out and provide a way for individual donors to give and have the donations wired expediently to Uganda. We will get an update posted soon.
"Hello, my brothers and sisters. I hope you are all well. Thank you very much for your prayers and financial help. Our brother Martin was discharged from the hospital today. To God be the glory. Thank you very much for the funds. We were able to pay yesterday. He will continue to have a nurse from that very hospital at his home to be monitoring him for some time. Thank you very much for your prayers.

*Good News! Progress Update on Martin Mpanga From Kampala, Uganda.*
"Today was an exciting day. Martin was in excellent spirits, all energetic without tubes only supported with 7% oxygen, and his breathing has remarkably improved.
Today he asked the doctors what he was still doing in the hospital. He already feels healed. However, the last almost ten days have taken a toll on him. So he needs to take it slow as he follows the Doctor's orders.
He is now ready for more advanced physiotherapy to strengthen his muscles and sunbathe, especially for natural Vitamin D.
We are now praying for his body to heal completely and that under no circumstance will he take any step back. Our God is faithful
We continue to thank God for all His goodness, faithfulness, and Generosity."

"The disciples in East Africa have raised over $12,000 and continue to raise funds despite Covid lockdowns and the challenging economic times they are facing. Here in the United States, we have raised $10,000 to date from individual donations given through the Especially the Family Link. https://especiallythefamily.org/martin-kampala-uganda.../ and a generous donation from the New York City Church of Christ. Medical bills have reached about $30,000 to date, so these donations have been a great help and encouragement to the family and all who have worked so hard to help raise funds to help Martin get back to total health."
